All Kids Insurance
We believe all children should have access to premier dental care—that’s why we accept All Kids dental insurance. This state insurance program provides healthcare to children of low-income families, including dental care and orthodontic treatments such as braces, Invisalign®, and surgical orthodontics. Many hardworking families have difficulty affording private health insurance, but with All Kids, your children can receive the dental care they need—when they need it—regardless of their health condition or immigration status. This insurance program provides comprehensive, affordable healthcare to children across the state of Illinois.
In addition to check-ups and standard dental care, children covered by All Kids (also known as KidCare, Medicaid, Public Aid, and Medical Card) may also qualify for orthodontic treatment.
Who can get All Kids?
Children who are 18 years or younger may qualify for All Kids. They must also live in the state of Illinois. It is also important to note that your family’s income must meet the All Kids Income Limit to be eligible, and these limits may vary year-to-year to coincide with the federal poverty level. You can find information on the All Kids Income Limit here: All Kids Income Standards & Cost Sharing Chart.
Who can get orthodontic treatment with All Kids?
If your child is covered under All Kids dental insurance, he or she may qualify for assistance in receiving orthodontic treatment! First, your child must be pre-approved for braces before being able to begin treatment. The orthodontic consultation to determine your child’s eligibility—as well as the X-ray images, photographs, models of their teeth, etc.—is complimentary under the All Kids program.
After this initial consultation, All Kids will be able to determine if your child is eligible for treatment. Certain criteria make make your child ineligible: for example, if your family is covered with Medical Card insurance, you will need to check with your provider to see if your child qualifies. Also, your child must be under the age of 20 and have moderate to severe orthodontic issues. The process of determining their eligibility usually takes 3-4 weeks, and you will be contacted directly by the All Kids administrators after your consultation.
How much does All Kids cost?
The amount you pay for this dental insurance program will depend on your family income. Some families get All Kids for free, while others will need to pay premiums and co-payments. If you have to pay monthly premiums, you will be required to make monthly payments regardless of your benefits usage that month. Co-payments, on the other hand, imply that you will pay part of the cost of dental visits, though the overall cost to you will still be significantly less.
